Samuel "Sam" Constantine also known as Sam Flynn, is one of the Pandemonium bartender, an occult detective. He is also the son of John Constantine and Anne Marie Flynn, brother of Gideon and Mason Constantine.

- Magic: Sam is highly skilled in the dark arts and exorcist. He has accumulated vast knowledge of magic and the occult. He has vast knowledge of words and phrases of multiple ancient languages, such as Latin, which he will usually chant while performing certain rituals or incantations. Many incantations give him the ability to affect physical forces, the inner workings of mechanisms, and the movements of others, allowing him to move objects and control their motion and momentum with the proper incantation.
- Telekinesis: Sam is able to move objects with his mind and can pin others against a wall.
- Exorcism: Sam can exorcise spirits that are demonic or ghostly in origin from their hosts by chanting incantations.
- Oclumancy: Erased a man's memories of any trace himself, or mind-controlled a police officer to release him from jail.
- Summoning: Sam can summon various entities and even control them.
- Pyrokinesis: Sam can create and manipulate fire.
- Astral projection: Sam is able to separate his soul from his body to travel to the astral world.
- Interdimensional travel: Sam knows many different rituals that can allow him to travel to Heaven, Hell or other places of existence.
- Invisibility: Sam can turn himself invisible.
- Teleportation: Sam could teleport himself short distances.
- Magic circles: Sam uses magic circles that can be used for rituals, as boundaries, or traps for certain creatures.

- Occult knowledge: Sam has acquired extensive knowledge of the supernatural.
- Skilled detective: Sam has an analytic mind and is a proficient detective, specializing in paranormal investigation.
- Multilingual: Sam can perform spells in Italian, Latin, Egyptian and Ancient Greek so it can be presumed he knows the languages fluently.

- Bag: Sam has a bag of items that he may need for his investigations. Some items he carries in the bag are: holy water, holy oil, salt, goofer dust, hand of glory, a police scanner, EMF meter, duct tape, lighter and hex bags.
- Magic coin: Sam possesses a charmed coin that is both a tracking device and a listening device.
- Tarot cards: Sam carries a deck of fortune-telling cards, each card holding a meaning.
- Business cards: Sam carries business cards that read, "Sam Constantine: Occult Detective."
